Staging boards, also popularly called ‘Youngman boards’ can be used to create a long access platform, for example along a wall or over a gap, during painting, decorating and construction jobs.

Unlike a ladder, they provide you with a work platform that has plenty of space to get the job done and leave you with your hands free to do the work.

How to use staging boards

Staging boards are designed to be used with builders steel trestles and a handrail system, to create a long, spacious and safe work platform. Once the steel trestles are set to the required height, the staging is laid across the trestles and secured. Handrails can be secured to the staging boards in order to prevent falls.
