What types of aluminium stepladders do you offer?
Our range includes aluminium platform stepladders and swingback stepladders, as well as low-level fixed steps, warehouse steps & wide steps.
Swingback step ladders, often referred to as ‘swingback steps’, are the classic A-frame stepladder favoured by many trades for their fast setup and portability. Platform step ladders, or ‘platform steps’, feature a platform as the top rung. When standing on the platform, the user is able to work more comfortably from a height. These ladders are favoured by all kinds of trades for the quick, convenient and secure access that they provide.
Our aluminium fixed steps are great for low level access in workshops and warehouses, to reach up to shelves easily. While our wide steps and warehouse steps provide ideal access when needing to work at a higher level and for longer periods, with their guardrails and secure platforms providing extra safety.
The range includes aluminium stepladders in a huge choice of sizes, from two tread steps right up to 14 tread industrial stepladders. Our step ladders are also available with a choice of features like optional handrails and tool trays.
When should you avoid using an aluminium ladder?
Whilst aluminium step ladders are lightweight, durable and convenient, they must not be used when working near electrical hazards. This is due to the fact that aluminium is a conductive material.
When working around electrical hazards, you must use a fibreglass step ladder. We also sell fibreglass stepladders in a great range of sizes. These professional trade ladders are non-conductive and are intended for electricians and other trades, when working in areas where there is a risk of electric shock.
