Mexco XCEL Diamond Tile Drill & Blade Kit
Professional quality kit for drilling & cutting porcelain & ceramic tiles
The Mexco XCEL Diamond Tile Drill & Blade Kit includes TDXCEL diamond tile drill bits in 6mm, 7mm, 18mm and 25mm diameter sizes, along with a 115mm ultra hard materials diamond blade, M14 to Hex adaptor, pot of cooling wax and a robust carry case.
The diamond-tipped drill bits and blade offer maximum performance and cost per cut when drilling the hardest of man-made and natural decorative materials. They are ideal for drilling and cutting through porcelain, ceramic and stone tiles.
No water is required with the drill bits, due to a special wax filled core that melts, lubricates and cools when drilling.
These drill bits are supplied to fit M14 thread Angle Grinders. The included M14 to Hex adaptor allows the tile drill bits to be used with a High Speed Corded Drill.
The 115mm ultra hard materials diamond blade features a 22.23mm bore size and ventilated steel centre for rapid heat distribution.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
- Ensure you are using the correct type of machine for the drilling application (refer to the recommended RPM and machine instructions). Ensure all forms of percussion or hammer action are turned OFF.
- To start drilling, use a Mexco suction cup guide to enable an accurately positioned hole. Alternatively place the drill at a 30 degree angle. Drill until tile drill bit starts to penetrate the material. Once the hole has started to form, bring the drill up into the upright position and continue.
- As the tile drill starts to work, the heat will cause the wax to melt, lubricating the cutting surface.
- Periodically remove the bit from the cut to allow cooling.
- For horizontal drilling minimal pressure is required.
- For vertical drilling the weight of the machine will give sufficient pressure.
- Ensure periodic removal of debris from tip of the bit as a build-up of dust and debris will prevent the wax from lubricating the tip and shorten the lifetime of the drill bit considerably.
USEFUL INFORMATION
The tip of the drill bit will become HOT, please handle with care and wear suitable PPE.
Use on an angle grinder (M14 fitment) or with a high speed corded drill (1800rpm) (Requires the M14 to Hex adaptor)
Only use for drilling the tile, not the material behind the tile.
Use appropriate drill bit following penetration of tile.
